Health & Safety in the workplace
The subject areas covered on this course are regarded by the HSE as important in maintaining safe working procedures in the workplace. As Health & Safety is the responsibility of everyone within a business, including its contractors, visitors and suppliers. This course ensures you have all the correct and up to date information for your workplace. Successful candidates will be awarded a national Level 2 (Level 5 in Scotland) qualification in Health & Safety in the Workplace, which will provide an ideal platform to higher level training or career development.
Includes Lunch.
Duration
This is a one-day classroom based course. Dependent on the learner’s experience, there may well be some pre-course or post-course reading.
Syllabus
- the roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare in the workplace.
- the value and process of risk assessments.
- The identification and control of workplace hazards.
- How to respond to workplace incidents and accidents
Certification
Assessment is on-going by the instructor, culminating with a multiple choice question paper. This is a lifetime qualification, although refresher training is always recommended. Accredited through Qualsafe Awards
