First Aid At Work is a legal requirement. It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers should provide a safe and healthy environment for their employees. If the First Aid Assessment highlights the need for qualified First Aiders, then this First Aid at Work qualification will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.  This new Blended course includes lunch, and 3 year certification.

Your log in key will be sent approximately two weeks prior to your selected practical date.

*PLEASE NOTE* eLearning must be completed in full before you practical session, failure to do so will result in you not being able to attend the practical session. If you fail to attend your selected practical session a charge of  up to 75% of the original course price will be required to re book. this is in line with our TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Blended First Aid at Work Level 3

Our Blended First Aid at Work Course is a comprehensive blend of online and just a 2 day face to face course covers a wide range of First Aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with an emergency situation with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. This course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level, and fulfils the requirements laid out by the https://www.hse.gov.uk/firstaid/for the purpose of meeting your First Aid at Work requirements under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 circa First Aid Regs 1989

Courses can be delivered on site, at your premises across Yorkshire or nationwide or you can book onto one of our scheduled courses, running monthly at our fully equipped training facility on the Rudding Park Estate Harrogate.  All our scheduled courses come with lunch and refreshments.

Duration

A minimum of 18 hours spread over on line work and 2 days in the classroom

A range of subjects is covered including:

  • Legalities, responsibilities and reporting
  • Assessment of the situation

  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Shock (including Anaphylaxis)
  • Bandaging
  • Fractures and spinal injuries
  • Heart Attacks

  • Control of bleeding
  • Head Injuries
  • Eye Injuries

  • Chest Injuries
  • Sprains and strains
  • Burns
  • Asthma
  • Diabetes
  • Epilepsy
  • Stroke

Certification

Assessment is ongoing by the instructor along with a question paper on each day. A three year Award in First Aid at Work will be issued to the learner, subject to successful assessment. No external assessors are required.
