In January 2024 the EYFS made some significant updates with an action date of 1st November 2024. EYFS 1st Nov 2024 These updates must now all be fully in action by the 1st November and it is essential that all settings comply. I would also like to clarify for anyone who has been given incorrect information that the old requirement for paediatric first aid, is just that OLD, and we must now all adhere to the new ratios. Our one day face to face Blended Paediatric First Aid Training and 6 hours on line Course has been developed for Ofsted registered child carers including nursery staff and childminders, nannies and educational staff.

This Blended Paediatric First Aid course can be completed on any PC or mobile device, once booked the learner will be emailed with log in details to complete the on line course. Learners can study at their own pace and log in and out as often as they wish. Students will be tested on all topics during the eLearning and a certificate of completion is printed at the end and must be brought to the face to face training.

The course practical day includes refreshments, and 3 year certification.

Your log in key will be sent approximately two weeks prior to your selected practical date.

*PLEASE NOTE* eLearning must be completed in full before you practical session, failure to do so will result in you not being able to attend the practical session. If you fail to attend your selected practical session a charge of  up to 75% of the original course price will be required to re book. this is in line with our TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Description

Blended Paediatric First Aid is 1 day practical classroom based and 6 hours online. This course is for Ofsted registered child carers including nursery staff and childminders, nannies and educational staff. Students are required to complete an eLearning module before attending the face to face training.

Blended Paediatric First Aid online section, can be completed on any PC or mobile device. Learners can study at their own pace and log in and out as often as they wish. Students will be tested on all topics during the eLearning and a certificate of completion is printed at the end and must be brought to the face to face training. On arrival learners will complete a multiple choice written paper, that they must pass to continue.

The purpose of the face to face training is to give students lots of time for practical activities such as CPR, recovery position etc..

The face to face part can be delivered on site, at your premises or you can book onto one of our scheduled courses running monthly at our Haggs Farm, Rudding Estate training room.   Please note all students are awarded the Anaphylaxis qualification and certification now FREE as part of this qualification.

This course does not Include lunch.

Duration

A minimum of 12 hours makes up these two units consisting 6 hours on line completed prior to the face to face day of practical work. Please print your eLearning certificate and bring with you to face to face day.

Certification

Assessment is ongoing by the instructor in respect of the student’s practical skills. The morning of the face to face session students must complete a multiple choice question paper they must pass to continue. A three year award in Paediatric First Aid certificate will be issued subject to assessment.
